Merman OC: Kai

LE GASP! A character that I designed myself?!
The world must be coming to an end!

ANNNNYWAY~ This is Kai, he's a pretty merman, who's tail looks like a shark due to a natural sort of mimic camouflage. He's not a sharkfolk/sharkman.
You see I believe that for merfolk to exist without most of the human population's knowledge they would either live in deep seas that humans can't easily get to or in seas that humans wouldn't be able to venture through very well -Ex: the Bermuda Triangle- OR! The race would have some way to blend in or be mistaken for other sea life! Thus the shark look-a-like tail

Specifically Kai's tail is a mimic of the Whitetip Reef Shark and as for his dark skin and hair? He is apart of a generation that more or less revolves around the Hawaii reefs, thus why he appears like the native race there!

But yeah~ Oh! And Kai has a lover! He's a therapist who has a hobby-love for surfing! They met after said man hit rock bottom with a overwhelming bit of depression and tried to end his life via surfing during a severe storm. Oh Makani~
